On the Content Access Management page of the System Management section, District Content Administrators are able to manage access to TCR components by individual user (only applies to districts with subscriptions to both TEKS RS and TCR). Be aware that turning TCR on for a user will turn off the user's access to the equivalent TEKS RS materials (they are mutually exclusive). However, users with the District Content Admin role will always have access to both sets of materials (regardless of the access settings).
Please note that the User-Level Access feature operates independently from the District/Campus Content Access settings. The intention is for one or the other to be utilized, not both.
REQUIRED ROLE: District Content Admin
SITE ACCESS: System Management > TCR Content Access
VIDEO TUTORIAL: Manage TCR Content Access by User
Click on the System Management drop-down in the site’s main navigation menu and select the TCR Content Access option.
On the TCR Content Access Management page, the default for all toggle switches in all TCR Content Access tables is OFF.
When users attempt to access TCR materials that are turned off, they will receive the following message:
District Content Administrators may turn TCR on throughout the district, at a specific campus, or at an individual user level. The user-level access settings operate independently from the district and campus TCR Content Access tables. Only one of these methods should be utilized, not both.
To turn on TCR for a specific user (or group of users), click TCR Access Management Spreadsheet link (in User-Level Access section) to download the file.
Locate the desired user(s) in the spreadsheet that you wish to grant TCR access to. Use the Find feature in the spreadsheet (or "CTRL+F" keyboard shortcut) to assist with pinpointing users quickly. If outdated users appear in the list, visit the Bulk Update page within the Account Administration section of the site to update the account status of users throughout the district.
For the desired user(s), click NO in the TCR Access column and select the YES option.
Click the Save button once you are done making changes, and save the file to your computer.
Back on the TCR Content Access Management page, click the Upload Spreadsheet button.
Click the Choose File (Browse) button to locate and select the saved file from your computer.
Click the Upload File button. This will enact the changes you made in the spreadsheet and grant TCR access to the users you specified. Please note that turning TCR on for a user will turn off the user's access to the equivalent TEKS RS materials (they are mutually exclusive).
If you later wish to revoke TCR access for particular users, follow the same steps above but switch TCR access from ON to OFF in the TCR Access Management Spreadsheet and re-upload the file.
