The Search All Components page allows access to TEKS RS (TCMPC) components as well as your district's customized, published versions of components. Users have the option to search for both TEKS RS and District components at the same time, or District components only.
SITE ACCESS: TEKS Resource System Components > Search All Components
VIDEO TUTORIALS:
1a.) Viewing Components Results
1b.) Viewing Assessment Item Results
Click on the TEKS Resource System Components drop-down in the site’s main navigation menu and select the Search All Components option.
Begin the search process by using the Search Type toggle filter to determine which results you desire.
Select the Components option if you wish to view Instructional Focus Documents, TEKS Verification Documents, Vertical Alignment Documents, etc. Components is the default Search Type selection.
Alternatively, select the Assessment Items option if you wish to view published items from the TEKS RS (TCMPC) and/or District item collections. This is essentially a preview of the assessment items offered within the Assessment Center tool. Note that if your district has elected to turn either of these item collections off in the Assessment Center, the items will not appear on the Search All Components page either.
To locate published, district-created content only (and exclude any TEKS RS materials from the results), select the View District Content Only checkbox. Note that some districts may have little to no content published for user view, meaning the use of this filter will yield few, if any, results.
Next, use the provided search filter drop-down menus to select a Grade Level, Subject Area, Course (if applicable), and Version (if applicable).
If desired, you may select more than one option in each drop-down menu.
Use the additional, optional search filters if you wish to further narrow your results.
For the Units filter, select the specific unit(s) associated with the desired components/items. If you wish to search all applicable units, do not make any selections. The unit options that are present are those applicable to your previously selected search criteria.
For Standards, click the bar to open the filter and select the specific standard(s) associated with the desired components/items. If you wish to search all applicable standards, do not make any selections. The standard options that are present are those applicable to your previously selected search criteria.
There may be multiple pages of standards, which can be viewed using the page number buttons.
If you selected Components as the Search Type, you may use the additional Component Type filter to select the specific component type(s) that you would like to find. Click the drop-down menu to make your selections. If you wish to search all component types, do not make any selections.
There is also an optional Keyword search field provided, allowing you to search by a certain word or phrase specific to a component/item, its title, or a standard contained within it.
Once you have selected all your desired search criteria, click the Search button to perform the search. Click the Reset button if you wish to clear the selected filters and flush the current results.
There may be multiple pages of results in the Search Results area, which can be viewed using the page number buttons at the top and bottom of the results list.
If you selected Components as the Search Type, you will receive a list of component documents in the search results. Provided the View District Content Only filter was not selected (and your district actually has published content available), both TEKS RS and district-created components will appear in the results. Click on the title of any component to view it.
Since both TEKS RS and District components may appear in the results list together, a TEKS RS (TCMPC) icon is included to the right of all TEKS RS component titles. District-created components do not have an icon to the right of their titles.
The Component Type for each item is indicated on the right side of every row in the search results. The Grade Level and Course (if applicable) are also specified in this area.
If you selected Assessment Items as the Search Type, the search results will include a list of applicable items from the Assessment Center. Provided the View District Content Only filter was not selected, items from both the TEKS RS and District item collections will appear in the results.
There are two potential options for each TEKS RS assessment item.
Select Create My Version (if district has feature turned on) to enter the Assessment Center and create your own custom copy of the item that can be modified and added to your My Created Items collection.
Select Submit Feedback to provide feedback directly to the appropriate TEKS Resource System content team.
Alternatively, there is only 1 potential option for each District assessment item.
Select Create My Version (if district has feature turned on) to enter the Assessment Center and create your own custom copy of the item that can be modified and added to your My Created Items collection.
Since both TEKS RS and published District assessment items may appear in the results list together, an icon is included to the left of the item title indicating which collection it belongs to.
